Well, now you will have a chance to do this on 13 and 14 October here in Prague. And, best of all, there is no charge and the event is open to the public.


This is an opportunity for you to, first-hand, hear the views of world political and business leaders about what trends, possibilities, and dangers they see in the global economy? Then, you will have the opportunity to ask them questions.

Please consider this an invitation for you to join me and my colleagues from The Forum 2000 Corporate Council at Laterna Magika for three thought provoking sessions taking place at 10:15 and 12:00 on the 13th, and at 9:45 on the 14th. Each session will last for approximately 90 minutes and will be an unscripted free-flowing exchange of ideas with some very respected and influential thought-leaders discussing things that will have a significant impact on our lives and careers.

At the 10:15 panel on the 13th the topic is “The Emergence of New Economic Powers and Its Impact on the Traditional Western Economies”

The topic for the 12:00 panel on the 13th will be “Oh, when we still made things…”: What Will be the Economic Future of Europe and North America?”

Then, the final panel, on the 14th at 09:45 will discuss “Internationalization of Czech Companies: Challenges and Opportunities”

The proceedings will be in English and participants will include: Vicente Fox, Former President of Mexico; Mike Moore, former Director General of the World Trade Organization; Mikail Kasyanov, former Prime Minister of Russia; Mohammad Gawat, Managing Director for Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa for Google; Reem al Hashimi, Minister of State—Dubai; Jan Muhlfeit, Chairman Europe of Microsoft; Mike Short, CEO of Pilsner Urquell; Petr Smida, CEO of the largest private bank in Russia, Alfa Bank; Tomas Spurny, Chairman of the board, PPF and Jan Svejnar, Professor of Economics and Public Policy—University of Michigan among many others.

You will undoubtedly read about what these distinguished people have to say in the newspapers and see them interviewed on television, but why not see the program in its entirety and in person? By now you’re probably asking yourself why would these people come to Prague in October and how can it be that there is no charge to come hear them speak? Simple: these people are coming to Prague at the personal invitation of former President Vaclav Havel for his 12th annual gathering of world leaders in Prague, The Forum 2000 Conference.
